The art of ceramics has started in China and travelled all around the world, reaching many cultures while inspiring architects and artists in many different geographies. Anatolia, so called Asia Minor, has hosted many different civilizations for centuries. The art of ceramics have been brought to Anatolia by first Turkish settlements in the east of Anatolia and together with Islamic influence, Seljuk and Ottoman Empires have developed a unique ceramic art, exploiting it in every corner of their lives. Anatolian ceramics have reached their highest point during Ottoman Empire where they have used thousands of different ceramics with unique figures in their architecture.
